Nov 16, 2021
Confessio: Irish-American Roots, is a diary of Keith and Kristyn Getty’s past year in Ireland. “Confessio” is from the confession of St. Patrick, which was written while he was a missionary in Ireland, and was turned into a Christian hymn. Listen to Keith’s recounting of the origins of this album and listen to some of the music in this 19-minute interview by clicking on the video below.
“Confessio“: A diary of hymns and songs that underscore the Gettys’ Irish American journey. This collection is a “confessio” in word and note of the musical and spiritual roots that continue to call us to the ancient paths. “For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground… Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows… and with his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53).
